MEMBERSHIP
Thank you to those members who have completed the emergency contact information and acknowledgement to the insurance disclaimer in your profile through Golf Genius. In order to play in any WPLGASC events you must agree to the waiver.
I have again attached instructions and, hopefully, this will help those of you who have not completed this task yet. Remember you need to go to the website www.golfgenius.com and not use the APP on your phone. For those of you who have completed this task please help the others in your club who may be struggling.
MEMBERSHIP RENEWALS
The Membership Renewal information was sent via email to club delegates, membership chairs, or treasurers. If you have not received this information let me know as soon as possible. Renewals are due no later than December 1, 2024, especially if you plan to play Team for 2025. If a member joins in October 2024, they are good the rest of 2024 and all of 2025.

PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
WPLGASC is celebrating 91 years of promoting women's golf, and I would like to thank each of you for your participation in our events, be it Major Tournaments, Team Play or Monthly Association Days.
This year has seen many changes: Hole-in-One cash awards, paying ties at the Major Tournaments, along with WPLGASC contributing an additional 10% to the Monthly Association Day awards. We are always open to any suggestions that you may have that will benefit our members and our team is already working on the 2025 schedule and would love to hear if you have any course recommendations.
Please plan to attend the Annual Meeting and Luncheon on Monday, December 2, 2024, at Anaheim Hills Golf Course for the election of the 2025 officers and presentation of the 2024 team awards. You can make arrangements to attend by contacting Donna Buxton at wplgamajors@gmail.com.
Feel free to contact me with any questions, concerns or requests that you may have regarding any WPLGASC Policies or Procedures. It is my pleasure to serve and represent the membership. Please contact me, Lou Ann Reichling, here if you have any questions.
ELECTION OF THE 2025 WPLGASC BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The attached Slate of Nominated Candidates for Election to the WPLGASC 2025 Board of Directors was sent to all Presidents and Delegates on October 28, 2024. We ask that you announce this at your November monthly meeting. Elections will be held at the Annual Meeting on Monday, December 2, 2024 at Anaheim Hills Golf Course.
MAJOR TOURNAMENTS
Congratulations to Sarah Yan of Costa Mesa, who was named WPLGASC Champion for 2024 at the conclusion of the Fall Classic Tournament held at Eagle Glen Golf Club in Corona. Sarah's impressive two-day score of 169 secured her win over Shine Lee of San Dimas Canyon, our Runner-up, who shot a 171. Congratulations to Sarah and Shine, as well as all of our winners. Results can be viewed on the home page of the WPLGASC website.
Registration will close November 1 for the 91st Annual Meeting and Partner Better Ball Tournament at Anaheim Hills Golf Course. I look forward to hosting you for a very fun day of golf followed by the very important business of ushering in our new Board of Directors for 2025. We will also celebrate the winners of Team Play for 2024.
Partners in the tournament must play to an 8-stroke difference. Your handicap difference may be larger than 8 strokes, but the higher handicap will be adjusted to within 8. Acceptance in the golf tournament will be based on participation points for your foursome. The updated Participation Point file is on the Home Page of the website. If you would like to join us for the Annual Meeting and Luncheon, the cost is $50 and you can sign up to attend by emailing me at wplgamajors@gmail.com.
I look forward to seeing you at upcoming WPLGASC events. Please don't hesitate to contact me, Donna Buxton, at wplgamajors@gmail.com or (714) 585-5879 if you have any questions.
MONTHLY TOURNAMENTS
Congratulations to Liz Gnerre from Skylinks who had a hole-in-one on hole 2 at Chester Washington on October 10, 2024 Association Day.
No new rules have been implemented for "Pace of Play", we will continue to monitor the 10-stroke maximum and the recording of start and stop times.
November game is 9 the Easy Way: Easiest 9 holes minus 1/2 handicap. Paying both gross and net awards. As a reminder, you do not have to sign up as a foursome during our monthly Association Day tournaments; we will fill foursomes as needed. Please remember that attendance at our monthly Association Day tournaments are a great way to earn participation points towards acceptance in Major tournaments.
Thank you all for your participation in our WPLGASC Events. If you have any feedback or questions please contact Kathy Takemura, Monthly Tournament Chair, here.
